It’s been a long, hot summer! I never realized how complicated this can be: working a book to the level of “perfection” necessary to be marketed — especially when “perfection” includes trying to preserve the original simplicity and roughness of the material. It’s like trying to dress up a horse for church or a ballroom dance. By August 15th, Feast of the Assumption, we finally closed the revisions and started printing again. From Beijing, China, a freelance agent wrote and asked whether I could lower the price further (exactly what I wanted to do). So after some wrangling, we’ve reset retail prices to $19.99 hardcover, $12.99 softcover. Again, books are available from the different outlets or directly from me…but I won’t have finalized softcovers until October. If you want a next-to-final version hardcover, I’m selling them at a discount. Contact me via booksbydean@gmail.com, or leave a message here. God bless you all. Dean, the wanna-be cowboy.
